On May 5, female entrepreneurs and longtime friends Sabrina Rudin and Anastasia Ganias-Gellin hosted an intimate brunch in celebration of Mother’s Day. The setting was at Rudin’s Spring Café Aspen, a ski town concept and 100% organic restaurant nestled in New York City’s NoHo neighborhood and a favorite among NYU students and Greenwich Village moms alike.
Although many who attended Rudin and Ganias-Gellin’s brunch were mothers themselves, the guest list also included the duo’s circle of entrepreneurs and friends. Notable attendees included Rebecca Minkoff, Eden Grinshpan, Melissa Wood Tepperberg, Arielle Charnas, Maria Duenas Jacobs, Pamela Tick, Tali Magal, Carolyn Angel, Rachel Blumenthal, Madison Rae, Joanna Hillman, Elissa Lipsky, and Violet Gaynor to name a few.
Attendees mingled while sipping on a delicious assortment of healthy fresh-pressed juices. Once guests took their seats at the festively decorated tables adorned with Goldie Home Sunbeam Napkins and florals by Robert Pesany, they were treated to a menu of seasonal highlights from the café’s organic and nourishing new vegetarian spring items. Laughs and banter were shared over chickpea shakshuka, coconut pancakes, avocado toast, and Fancy Peasant’s signature dishes, oils, and spices.
After nearly two hours, guests began to depart, but not without taking home goodies that included Fancy Peasant olive oil, Fancy Peasant Greek mountain oregano blend, spanakopita, and Spring Café Aspen signature Golden Juice. In the true ethos of Rudin and Ganias-Gellin, a donation was made in each guest’s name to World Central Kitchen, which is currently working to provide critical meal support to refugees fleeing Ukraine.
